FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
General

Marketing agencies who want to add more clients to their portfolio and need to equip the team with necessary tools that will help them save time and support more clients with fewer resources.

E-commerce businesses who are launching large-scale Facebook ad campaigns every month, run hundreds of creative tests and need to eliminate the time-consuming setup and day-to-day optimization tasks.

Solopreneurs who have to effectively manage multiple things and need a smarter solution than hiring some freelancers to get the job done.

Any business extensively using Facebook and Instagram ads who want to increase the efficiency of their ads by adding a media buying power to their team.

To join Adscook you should have your ad accounts, business manager and pixel events already set up directly in Facebook.

If these prerequisites are already set up, you’re good to go with Adscook. We support all the modules that are necessary to effectively create, manage and analyze your ads. You can create and launch 100s of ad variations with a few clicks, automatically optimize your ads and analyze your data on a multi-account dashboard.

Simply put, Adscook is an easier and faster way to create and manage your Facebook ads.

Unlike Facebook’s native tool, Adscook is a great fit for large scale advertisers who are launching 100s of ads and running multiple creative tests. On Ads manager you can bulk import ads by uploading an Excel spreadsheet while on Adscook bulk upload is integrated into the campaign creation wizard. Plus the tool lets you create different variations of audiences, images, copies, etc.

Facebook’s native automated rules tool, as powerful as it is, is not sophisticated enough to satisfy all business use cases. Besides, it’s not smoothly integrated into Ads Manager which may create some disruption and slow down the processes especially when you are managing tons of ads.

Adscook has developed a more flexible automation rules module - it has integrated a set of ready-made strategies for beginners, supports more automation actions like Duplicate, Delete, Add to Name, etc, and has added unique Ranking and Dynamic metrics for more advanced automation strategies.

Other tools in the market are either oversimplified and provide limited functionality OR are affordable for big enterprises and have complex setup and higher costs. Adscook gives advertisers a powerful platform with the simplest interface and lower prices.

Currently we support only Facebook and Instagram for ad management.

Account Setup

To start using Adscook you just need to add your Facebook profile and all your ad accounts will be automatically synced. Then you can seamlessly manage your existing campaigns or create new ones.

alt description

There’s no limit. You can connect as many ad accounts as you wish and you can disconnect any account at any time.

You can connect multiple FB profiles to Adscook. If they have overlapping ad accounts, we will take the permissions of the last user who connected FB profile to Adscook.

To add the right Facebook profile, you should log out from your current Facebook session, log in to the correct account, then add it to Adscook.

When adding your Facebook user to Adscook, we automatically sync all associated ad accounts. If one or more of your ad accounts are disabled, you will not be able to use them on Adscook either. Please, contact Facebook support to dispute the ban.

After iOS 14 update, for conversion campaigns you are prompted by Facebook to:

- Verify Your Domain

- Configure Website Events Using Aggregated Event Measurement

Whenever you see this notice on Adscook “All domains need to be associated with a pair of pixel events and an ad. To serve this ad, either select a new domain for your ad or configure a pair of pixel events for the domain in Event Manager”, it may mean 3 things:

  1. You haven’t yet verified your conversion domain
  2. You have not selected a conversion domain which is associated with your Facebook ad account
  3. Or the Pixel event you have selected for the domain is not configured on Aggregated Event Measurement

UTM parameters are extra information that will be appended to each ad link. The information makes it possible to track individual ads in Google Analytics and other external analytic tools.

UTM parameters are appended to your ads by default on Adscook. To see it, just click on Show advanced options on the Campaign level and you’ll see the tracking URL with parameters - utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium={{placement}}&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}

alt description

Once your ads are published, an ad id is appended to your tracking URL - utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium={{placement}}&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}&utm_id={{ad.id}}

alt description

Just hover over the campaign on the dashboard, click on the three dots menu and choose the Add adset option.

alt description

Hover over the campaign, ad set or ad, click on the three dots menu and select Quick Duplication option. On the ad set level we also support the Duplicate and Edit option for more seamless processes.

To find your saved ads and audiences easier in your asset library, we have added a tag management system on Adscook.

You can set one or multiple tags for the audiences/creatives. The way you tag them mainly depends on your business process. Use several tags to define multiple verticals.

To add tags, just scroll down and enter the naming convention in the Tags field. To remove them, just click on x next to the tag.

alt description

When publishing new campaigns/ad sets/ads you'll see fields called Campaign name, Adset naming and Ad naming on each level respectively. You can either manually add a name or make use of our dynamic macros.

Adding dynamic macros is as simple as that: just type # and choose from the variables suggested on each level. These variables will be converted into texts after publishing. For example, if you set your campaign name as #objective# #locations#, it will be converted to “Conversions - New York, Montana, Washington” after publishing.

Analysis/Reporting

Adscook has recently integrated Google Analytics and also supports a seamless UTM tagging system.

What’s the benefit? As you know Facebook stores data in Business manager which is not reliable any more, while technically Google Analytics is a first-party source which stores all information with UTMs.

With Adscook UTM tagging system and GA integration, you’ll be able to seamlessly track and analyze your Facebook ads based on GA data, as well as create automation rules based on them.

UTM parameters are appended to your ads by default on Adscook. To see it, just click on Show advanced options on the Campaign level and you’ll see the tracking URL with parameters - utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium={{placement}}&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}

Once your ads are published, an ad id is appended to your tracking URL - utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium={{placement}}&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}&utm_id={{ad.id}}

alt description

To connect your GA account, simply navigate to Profile from the bottom left corner, scroll down and click the Connect button under Connect GA. Then you will be prompted to select the GA account.

Now you can find your GA metrics in all metrics sections in our Dashboard (they will be tagged with the "GA" label). The same way you can choose GA metrics, while creating your rules on Adscook.

alt description

The pricing plans are determined based on your monthly ad spend. Monthly ad spend is the total amount of ad budgets across all of your ad accounts connected to Adscook.

If your monthly ad spend changes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. All Adscook features are available regardless of the pricing plan you’re subscribed to.

See Adscook pricing plans here.

alt description

Currently we only accept credit card payments.

When using Adscook to run your Facebook ads, you will still be billed by Facebook for your advertising costs with the billing options you set up on your account. All you will be paying to us is the subscription price for the use of the platform.

Slack Integration

You can receive your automation rule notifications on your Slack workspace. Make sure that you switch on that option while creating the rule.

alt description

On your profile page at app.adscook.com/account/profile find Slack connection card and follow the steps.

alt description
alt description

Choose the workspace and the channel that you want to receive notifications to.

The notifications are received depending on the rule schedule. If you have set up the rule schedule every 15 minutes, then you will receive them every 15 minutes (in case of a successful action). If you have set up a custom scheduling, then the notification periodicity will follow your schedule.

When your automation rules work and make successful actions, you will receive various notifications about the success in your Slack, which include:

- Campaign/adset/ads being PAUSED

- Campaign/adset/ads being STARTED

- Adset budget was INCREASED/ DECREASED

- Adset/Ad has been DUPLICATED

- BID AMOUNT has been CHANGED

Please see below a few examples of how you will receive the notifications on Slack.
